"Rev. Charles M. Straight is currently Pastor of the Faith United Methodist Church in Dolton, Illinois. In addition to his traditional pastoral duties at Faith, he also heads a Social Justice Ministry, The Next Movement, under the Faith UMC umbrella. He served in the position of Assistant Pastor at the Wesley United Methodist Church for seven years prior to his current appointment."


Rev. Rachel Birkhahn-Rommelfanger

"A second-generation United Methodist clergywoman and Chicago native, Rachel Birkhahn-Rommelfanger fell in love with Jesus, justice, and the Church at a young age as she tagged along with her mother to work at church and with her father to protests. Her interest in faith grew in college at American University where she majored in history and sociology and spent hours at the interfaith center on campus leading a social justice team."


Will Tanzman

"Will has been organizing since 1999 and has been an organizer with The People’s Lobby and its predecessor organizations since 2008. Since 2017 he has served as The People's Lobby Executive Director. Will’s accomplishments include organizing The People’s Lobby’s successful campaign to raise the minimum wage in a number of Cook County suburbs from $8.25 to $13 and leading a campaign of mass actions and civil disobedience that played a major role in the closure of $125 million in corporate tax loopholes in Illinois. Will grew up in Chicago and began organizing as a high school student in the Chicago Public Schools, where he started an organization of students across the state working for a more just education system, successfully changing citywide standardized testing policies and practices. Will also serves as Council President at First Lutheran Church of the Trinity in the Bridgeport community. To get in the mood for a direct action, Will is always up for Rage Against the Machine."

"Cynthia Richardson is Faith UM Church Finance Chairperson. She has been a member of Faith for seven years and enjoys serving on the finance, stewardship, and praise teams. Under Cynthia’s leadership, Faith Church has made tremendous accomplishments in fundraising ventures, introducing Faith to the community, and increasing praise team members. She has over 30 years of finance/accounting/management experience in non-profit, healthcare consulting, commodities trading, wholesale/retail banking - project teams and tax return preparation. Cynthia’s ideal relaxing activities are cruising and playing pinochle."
